As a teenager Bheki admired artists sketching portraits for tourists at the Durban beach front. He bought his first sketch pad and pencils, and at the age of 17 he produced his first self-portrait.
In 2003 he was advised to attend an Arts and Culture Community Centre in Durban, for training in Visual Art where the panel was so impressed with the quality of his work that he was selected to join the program.
Bheki moved to Johannesburg in search of further inspiration and training where joined the Creative InnerCity Initiative in Hillbrow. He also later joined the Little Artists Outreach program where he is now an assistant teacher aiding in classes twice a week.
Bheki prefers working with Watercolours, Charcoal and Mixed Media, selling his artworks locally and Internationally.
